it’s the north of the south
this piece of land shaped like a stingray and a canoe.
vast sky shields lives thriving below
splashing colours, vibrant and bold.

to some it may seem too peaceful:
greens grazing al pacas, sheep and cattles.
others seek the thrill on the long slanted isles:
bungy? sky dive? jet ski? go wild beyond your dreams.

rolling hills on high have gained fame
filming the hobbit and the lord of the rings;
daredevils and nature lovers, too,
pay pilgrimage to the crater of doom.

this ditty scattered with rhymes is a meagre voice
singing praise to a beautiful country north of the south.
