speedy brushstrokes can barely catch up with the horse dashing out of the frame
hooves clattering impatient beats warn of a swift turn he is about to make
before crashing into the wall and disappearing out of sight leaving the sound
long clattering. it takes training to be able to judge how far he’s gone, but you
will never be able to get him back.
this is my dad’s favourite painting.
